Designer FAQ
1) When is Hair Fair?
June 20th - July 4th
2) How many prims do I get?
We will be taking prim count of each wig display and goodie box into consideration. Any extra prims used to personalize your stall will be determined at a later time.
3) Will I be able to decorate my stall?
Yes, as long as you are within your assigned stall & prim limits.
4) How many hair styles can I set up?
No less than 3, no more than 5.
5) Can I use scripted vendors?
No. If you currently use a vendor for your wig displays we ask that you set up a display specifically for Hair Fair, using the standard boxes. The ONLY scripts allowed will be the split script set up for the Locks of Love profits.
6) Can I share my space with another store?
No. Only one store per stall is allowed. However if you run a store in which there is more than one designer, please contact Mikayla Kohl or Washu Zebrastripe. We will need to have BOTH designers added to the group to ensure both parties have the opportunity to sell their wigs.
7) I have a lot of products, and I'm important. Can I have more than one stall?
No. Even if you have more than one designer under your store name, you can only have 1 stall. If you would like a larger space, let us know when signing up. The upgraded and larger stalls are limited, are first come first serve, and are not guaranteed. You can only set up 5 wigs no matter what size stall you have.
8) What size textures can I use?
512 x 512 or smaller.
9) Can I put my hair up in my store during Hair Fair?
No. We ask that all styles for Hair Fair be sold ONLY at the fair until it is over. They must be never-before-seen wigs. You can put up posters of these styles in your stores to advirtise and let your customers know that the styles are only available at the fair.
10) When can I start setting up?
We will send out a notice to let you know.
11) Where is Hair Fair? LM?
Location of Hair Fair will be announced at a later time. Sim names and Landmarks are not available at this time.
12) How do I know if I have been accepted as a participant and how do I join the group?
You will be asked to join the Hair Fair 2009 group by a committee member. This group is sent by invite only!
13) Can I set up a LM giver?
You can not set up a scripted LM giver. However you can set up a goodie box to include your landmark and anything else you would like to include. We ask that the box be set out for L$0 or L$1.
14) I make other items too, can I set those up in my stall?
No. This is a fair for hair only. If you would like to include any clothes or other merchandise and info about your store in your freebie goodie box you are more than welcome. But again it must be included in the goodie box and buyable for no more than L$1.
15) If I am unable to attend Hair Fair at the last minute can I give my space to a friend?
No. If you are unable to attend the fair for any reason you need to contact Mikayla Kohl or Washu Zebrastripe via notecard as soon as possible, as there will be a waiting list for other designers who may have missed out. Once you have paid for your stall it will NOT be refunded, no exceptions.
